As plants endure a changing season it is important to keep them healthy and there fore resisting problems.
Do the basics: Apply a good soil wetting agent such as Bailys Grosorb.( Available in store).
- Fertilize regularly. Use a good all purpose granular fertilizer once a month or a fish emulsion weekly to fortnightly.
- Prune off any growth that appears infested. (remember to prune through fresh healthy stem and not diseased area of stem.)
- Keep soil regularly watered avoiding wetting foliage in the evenings to prevent fungal problems.
- Prevent wilting point when weather gets hot by keeping the ground well mulched and regularly watered. (A plant uses a lot of energy to recover from wilting).
